Jim Houston joined Davis-Rea Ltd. in 2006 bringing more than 25 years of industry experience, most recently, as Director, Equity Sales for the Canadian equity division of one of the world's largest financial services firms. Throughout his career, Jim has held senior roles in business development, sales, corporate planning, and equity research at several of Canada's largest investment dealers.

Zachary Curry joined Davis-Rea in 2004. His previous experience includes investment banking and research as well as equity trading and retail sales at two independent Canadian brokerage houses. He focuses on implementing and managing asset allocation strategies for current and prospective clients, as well as selecting and monitoring appropriate investments to fulfill discretionary client mandates.

Bruce Minerson, Fixed-Income Securities Analyst

After thirty years of increasing responsibilities in the area of fixed-income securities, Bruce joined Davis-Rea in 2000 and quickly became an integral member of our team. His expertise in the fixed-income area provides a double benefit to our clients: Firstly, Bruce has added a new dimension of credit- and yield-curve research to our already rigorous process of stock analysis. Secondly, his experience in government and corporate fixed-income securities has proved valuable in advantageously supporting trade executions.

Prior to becoming an investment counsel and portfolio manager, Joy Cunningham worked on research and development of food products and processes, electrorefining of copper, nickel and cobalt and the analysis of precious metals. She acquired twelve years of financial management experience at an investment-counselling firm and was president of her own firm for six years. She has a particular interest in Canadian equities and income trusts.

Richard B. 'Dick' Lewis, Vice-President

Dick Lewis started in the money-management business over 40 years ago with Manulife Financial. Later, he opened an investment-counselling division for an investment dealer and was its president as well as a director of the parent company. He next opened an independent investment-counselling company and subsequently joined with David Rea to form Lewis-Rea, a predecessor to Davis-Rea.

Patrick Tryon, Manager, Business Development

A graduate of McGill University, Pat was previously director of private wealth for an investment-counselling company and associate director of domestic private banking for a major international bank. He is a four-time Canadian National Champion in badminton and has won silver and bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games. He has over twenty years of experience in business development and client service.

Patrick C. Davis, CIM, Assistant Vice-President, Analyst
After four years in the motion-picture business, Patrick Davis joined our firm as a research analyst and administrative assistant. He graduated from the Film and Communications program at the University of Western Ontario in 2001.
Pat has made significant contributions to the firm in terms of IT management, performance measurement, client relationship management and investment research.
